During a personal trip to Cartagena de Indias, I encountered a live cultural event where an artistic group performed traditional dances to the sound of Caribbean music representative of Colombia’s coastal region. Drawn by the energy, color, and movement of the performance, I documented the event through a series of expressive and dynamic photographs.
This project focuses on capturing the essence of cultural expression—movement, rhythm, costume, and emotion—while preserving the authenticity of the moment. The images highlight the connection between music and dance, as well as the performers’ interaction with the audience and the surrounding environment, creating a visual narrative rooted in tradition and celebration.
