I covered a commemorative event hosted by the International Institute of Minnesota, celebrating 35 years of medical careers training programs and their impact on immigrant and refugee communities.
The event highlighted the Institute’s long-standing commitment to workforce development in healthcare, recognizing the achievements of over 4,000 New Americans trained since 1990 through programs such as Nursing Assistant Training, Medical Career Advancement, and the College Readiness Academy. My focus was to document the atmosphere of pride, recognition, and community—capturing speakers, attendees, interactions, and emotional moments that reflected the significance of this milestone.
